Why do we do what we do?

Attorney Emily Thomas became an attorney because of her mother’s experience with disability while she was in high school. Birth Justice attorneys understand how challenging it can be when family is harmed or injured. Our attorneys dedicate their career to helping people get the justice and life-long care they deserve.

Do I Have a Lawsuit?

If you or your loved one was injured during their pregnancy, during labor or delivery, you may have a case. Preventable mistakes and errors often occur during this time.

Attorney Emily Thomas has seen often in her career mothers and babies harmed by the doctors and nurses that were trusted to care for them.

What are the signs that my baby was injured?

When a baby stays in the hospital for more than 2-3 days after birth, there are questions whether the child was injured during or after birth. If you still have questions about your child’s birth, please give our attorneys a call.

What is Cerebral Palsy?

Babies that suffer a birth injury can be diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is a disorder of motor function that stems from a brain injury typically suffered at or near the time of birth. A newborn baby’s brain is fragile and can suffer injury during the birthing process if the medical care is not appropriate.
